Signs can be illuminated in a variety of ways – florescent bulbs, neon, fiber optic, and now L.E.D. That little bulb in your computer’s on indicator, your watch, your calculator and now your sign!LED modules are energy efficient, like the cold weather, are very reliable and easy to maintain. Traditional channel letters are lit with neon tubing which does not work well in cold winter temperatures, is costly to repair and uses 10 times the electricity of an LED illuminated sign. Most sign installations will pay for themselves in under 5 years. Both the traditional transluscent face style and “halo” lit effect are possible with LED’s. The prismatic faced letter shown here is a classic architectural letter by day and a warmly lit channel letter by night.
